Iran arrests former Kurdish activist in Mahabad
MAF NEWS – Kaiwan Olyalee, a Kurdish former activist was reportedly arrested by the Iranian intelligence agency known as Etelaat on last Tuesday in Mahabad, Maf news reported.
According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, after arresting, Olyalee was taken to an unknown location.
“His (Olyaee’s) family was told by Etelaat that he was accused of ongoing tie with (Iranian) Kurdish (opposition) parties,” Maf news continued.
Olyalee was also arrested in 2006 for ‘cooperation with (Iranian) Kurdish (opposition) parties.’
