Iran Likely to Execute Kurdish Political Inmate
According to a report by Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran, the authorities will possibly execute the Kurdish prisoner Rameen Hussein Panahi.
The prisoner’s brother, Amjad Hussein Panahi, said that Iran’s intelligence service is planning to secretly conclude the case of Rameen Panahi and execute him out of the public sight.
Due to his possible execution, his relatives will gather in front of Sanandaj intelligence administration on Sunday to protest the execution.
The family of Panahi has not been allowed to see him although they have repeatedly visited the security institutions in Sanandaj.
Panahi was arrested on June 22, 2017 after an armed conflict between Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and an Iranian Kurdish opposition party near Sanandaj.
