Kermanshah’s court exonerates Kurdish political activist
MAF NEWS – The Court of Iran’s Kurdish province of Kermanshah acquitted Hassanali Mehdavi Cheshmeh Gachi, a Kurdish political activist and head of Kermanshah’s Development Party who was accused of ‘’spreading falsehood’’ by the former head of Kermanshah’s science college.
“The case started in 2015 and Cheshmeh Gachi was finally found not guilty of all charges,” Maf News reported.
According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, Cheshmeh Gachi “was accused of spreading falsehood about the ‘astronomic salaries’ of former management staff of Kermanshah’s science university” by the former head of the university, Doctor Hossain Karim.
Cheshmeh Gachi was accused of the same charges by the former Kermanshah governor in 2015 and was acquitted.
