Monthly (21 March – 20 April) report of violation of human rights against Iranian Kurds
MAF NEWS – According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, at least 37 Kurdish citizens of Iran have been summoned, interrogated and detained, one Kurdish detainee was executed, one border carrier (Kolbar) was killed and six more wounded from March 21 to April 19, Maf news reported.
According to the Center of Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, most of the activists who we summoned and interrogated were from Kurdish cities of Mariwan with 17 activist, Baneh with six activists, Javanrood with two activists, Saqez with two activists, Sardasht with one activist, Salmas with two activists and Sanandaj with four activists.
The reported continued that one activist was also summoned in Ilam’s area of Karzan as well as two activists in Kermanshah.
According to the report one detainee in Naqadeh was hanged over murder.
The report added that a civil activist from Sanandaj, one from Mahabad and one from Ilam were transferred to jail.
One Kolbar was shot and dead by Iranian border guards in Sardasht and three more were wounded, another Kolbar was also shot and wounded in Baneh and one from Piranshahr fell from cliff and was injured.
According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, at least 932 political, social, religious, labor, and environmental activists have been summoned and jailed. 91 detainees were executed in jail, and more than 227 border (Border between Iraqi Kurdistan and Iranian Kurdistan) carriers known as Kolbars were killed or wounded from March 21, 2017 to March 20, 2018.
