Monthly report of violation of human rights against Iranian Kurds in August 2018
MAFNEWS – According to statistics published by Mafnews regarding human rights abuse against Iranian Kurds in August 2018, dozens of Kurds have been summoned, interrogated, jailed, hanged and killed.
According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, four Kurdish detainees have been hanged in Urmia Prison , three for murder and one for drug dealing.
A Kurdish university student was sentenced to eight years in prison, a Bahaee, Also from Sanandaj was sentenced to one year in jail and exile to another city and two Kurds from Naqadeh and Piranshahr have been sentenced to five years in prison and exile to another city.
Eight Kurdish border porters known as Kolbars have been shot and dead by Iranian border guards and ten more wounded.
A Kurdish detainee in Urmia Prions died due to not being treated.
More than 36 Kurdish activist from Paveh, Sanandaj, Oshnavieh, Kermanshah, Sardasht, Dalaho, Kamyaran, Ilam, Saqez, Bukan, Qoshanchay, Rawansar, Urmia and Mariwan have been arrested, six for defending labour rights and the rest over “contacting with Kurdish (opposition parties,” based in Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
Three Kurdish detainees have been sentenced to 222 lashes. Two activists one journalist from Baneh, 72 lashes for each.
