Monthly report of violation of human rights against Iranian Kurds in July 2018
MAFNEWS – According to statistics published by Mafnews regarding human rights abuse against Iranian Kurds in July 2018, dozens of Kurds have been summoned, interrogated, jailed, hanged and killed.
According to the Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan, at least 15 Kurds convicted to rape, murder and Mofsed-e-filarz (spreading corruption) have been hanged. Nine residents of Urmia for murder and drug dealing and six religious activists in Kermanshah.
Three Kurdish border porters known as Kolbars were shot and dead by Iranian border guards, seven more wounded, they were mostly from Iranian Kurdish cities and towns close to Iranian Kurdistan and Iraqi Kurdistan Region border.
One Kurdish detainee died in Urmia Prison as officials did not take him to hospital.
More than 46 activists have been summoned and interrogated throughout Iranian Kurdish cities of Mariwan, Sanandaj, Khoy, Paveh, Bukan, Saqez, Mahabad and Naqadeh.
Several Kurdish detainees have been sentenced to jail, one was also sentenced to death
