Ramin Hossien Panahi’s mother announces self-immolation in Sanandaj
Daya Sharifa, mother of Ramin Hossien Panahi, has announced her plan to self-immolate in front of the city’s Etelaat (Iranian Intelligence Agency) tomorrow, October 29, Maf News Reported.
“My mother who is 80 years old and unfortunately has cancer has decided to burn herself in front of Etelaat tomorrow at 9:00 A.M,” Amjad hossien Panahai told Maf News in a phone call.
In a confrontation between Komala Peshmerga and Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on June 25 in the Iranian Kurdish city of Sanandaj, three Komala Peshmerga were killed. Ramin, also a Peshmerga of Komala was arrested while he was wounded.
“My mother was informed that Ramin has been sentenced to death three days ago,” Hossien Panahi continued, and Afshin, another brother of the family who was arrested a few days after the confrontation, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.
Komala is a leftist political party of Iranian Kurdistan that has recently resumed a military struggle against Iran after some 30 years of military inactivity.
