Annual report of violating human rights against Iranian Kurds
MAF NEWS – Center of Democracy and Human Rights in Kurdistan published a report regarding violation of human rights against Kurdish community in Iran from March 21, 2017 to March 20, 2018 (tropical calendar.)
According to the report at least 932 political, social, religious, labor, and environmental activists have been summoned and jailed. 91 detainees were executed in jail, and more than 227 border (Border between Iraqi Kurdistan and Iranian Kurdistan) carriers known as Kolbars were killed or wounded.
March 21 to April 19 (Farvardin) – 29 political activists were summoned and investigated, two of them were sentenced to four years in jail, two years for each of them. One detainee was executed for thievery. Nine Kolbars were shot and dead and 15 more were wounded.
April 20 to May 20 (Ordibehesht) – At least 23 activists were summoned, investigated and jailed. One prisoner went on hunger strike in Ardebil. One detainee was hanged for raping. Four Kolbars were killed and 27 more wounded.
May 21 to June 20 (Khordad) – At least 46 activists have been summoned and investigated, several of them were jailed, dozens of protestors against corruption in Iran were also arrested, Maf News was not able to confirm the exact numbers of detainees. 16 detainees were hanged for different reasons. Two Kolbars were shot and dead and two more wounded by Iranian frontier guards.
June 21 to July 22 (Tir) – 27 activists were summoned and jaild, some were freed on bail, three of them were sentenced to jail. 22 prisoners were executed for murder and drug-dealing. Seven Kolbars were shot and dead and 13 more wounded.
July 23 to August 22 (Mordad) – 20 activists were arrested and investigated, four were sentenced to jail. One prisoner was sentenced to death, eleven more detainees which most of them were political activists were hanged. 13 Kolbars were shot and dead and 20 more wounded.
August 23 to September 22 (Shahrivar) – At least 78 activists were arrested and investigated. Five jailed religious activists went on hunger strike. Five prisoners were hanged for murder. Six kolbars were killed and 11 more wounded.
September 23 to October 22 (Mehr) – At least 360 activists were summoned and questioned. Two detainees were hanged. Seven Kolbars were shot and dead and ten more injured.
October 23 to November 21 (Aban) – Seventeen Activists were executed, 42 were summoned and investigated. Six Kolbars were killed and 11 more were wounded.
November 22 to December 21 (Azar) – Seven detainees were hanged for murder. Three social activists were sentenced to be lashed. 71 activists were summoned and went under investigation, three of them were sentenced to jail. Seven Kolbars were killed and 13 more were injured.
December 22 to January 19 (Day) – Some 131 activists went under investigation. Four prisoners were hanged. Five Kolbars were shot and dead and 12 more wounded.
January 20 to February 18 (Bahman) – Three political activists were sentenced to death and two detainees were hanged. 47 activists were summoned and questioned. Five Kolbars were killed and nine more were wounded.
February 19 to March 20 (Esfand) – At least 60 Activists were arrested and went under investigation, two of them died in jail mysteriously. Four detainees were hanged. Two Kolbars were killed and eight were wounded.
